When you use things (ex: cars) that burn fossil fuels you are letting carbon dioxide that causes the heat from the sun to be trapped in the earth while letting some heat go.  When we burn fossil fuels we are adding extra carbon dioxide into the air that isn't needed. The extra CO2 (carbon dioxide) keeps even more heat trapped into the earth which is starting to change the average temperature of earth. Even the littlest things like driving two blocks or turning on the faucet or turning on the lights is somehow connected to affecting the earth. But there is a way to see how much CO2 you use. There are some websites where you can enter personal information and they will see how much C02 you use. One is safeclimate.net. After you find new ways to use less CO2, each month you can type in new information and see if you are emitting less CO2.
