#8 Way to save water

Grass uses lots of water. One way to save water is to not use grass as your ground cover if you don't need to.  Some alternatives are yarrow, thyme, alyssum, sweet woodruff, or periwinkle. If you don't like those ideas, there are probably other drought tolerant ground covers available.  You can also always ask your local nursery.
